The way you say it, I should be a little less cheery about seeing some green.
Actually, since I was watching the trading happen when the line wipes were happening one after the other, I don't think the bulk of todays trading was day traders. VEC has been a slow mover with low volume in recent days, not exactly day trading heaven ... maybe the day traders got in after a few line wipes, but I doubt this was all them. Besides, I'll take what I can for the sp to go up.
