As to buyback I still object, I strongly agree with old Ben Graham the fiduciary duty of directors is to protect small holders not buy them out at desperately low prices.

I have certainly bought plenty of stocks that subsequently halved, big paper losses don't bother me. Yes lucky to get in at the bottom.
After arguing with the d o c about SGH and Quindell the company seemed really flamed out at that price. As always I avoid market timing and think that was putting people off.

As a general rule when threads with headings like these appear it's a very good sign for me. It's so funny that people won't buy because they think the price is falling, we have no common ground there.

I don't mean to skite and luck is a factor but I wish people would listen to what I am saying.
- Give up the charting, the shareprice will fluctuate.
- Buy at a ridiculously low price, only ever buy things after they have been hit by a bus IFF you are confident in a recovery.
- I try never to buy a business where things are going well. There's always something unexpected which could smash them - and striving for a 10 or 20% return seems like a piss-poor effort.
- If the shares go down don't fret, buy some more or not. Don't hurry or borrow, get rich slow.
So yes I am lucky but also fortune favours the bold and well prepared in my opinion. I was lucky also with SMX, CDD, PRG, STO, TWR and AWE.
The more I learn the luckier I get.
