    Hi H,
    I think FAR will draw a fine line between "extracting the max" and what they might consider as a very fair arrangement .. to remove uncertainties and at same time putting in place a number of certainties... WPl could fill that void. FAR did state many times.. they have no problems with WPL.
    CNOOC will still be 'around" for engagement in other acreage. And with FAR retaining,say 45%, there is a fair bit that can eventually be farmed out to CNOOC or whoever ( say25%), with FAR still retaining 20% in the development. BP already heavily involved and Total got some stake too. As does CNOOC.
    I wouldn't want to get into speculation as to who will eventually end up with what stake across the entire region. I'd like to focus on the immediate issues with which FAR are faced (PE, Farmout, Funding SNE). Most logical way to resolve all in one goes is through a deal with WPL.
