I'm sure FAR has ( or should I say.. had) a minimum number in the back of their minds and if it's not there, then they won't deal.
I believe a $600mil - $700mil will do it ( colored in the manner specified in first post).
Of course ( also responding to Trimil), with my view of a deal having been cut, there is no room for a T/O.
IMO T/O is just not going to happen... not from WPL ( they might try a hostile T/O but I'm sure that will be countered) .
Not sure if anyone saw the interview with PC on ABC Business channel a few nights ago. He actual mentioned that there are those who think that WPL intend to use CR money for a takeover ( not mentioning FAR but it seemed pretty clear that he was referring to all the FAR T/O talk) and he was quite emphatic that that will not happen... WPL not interested. I believe that to be the case... so no T/O attempt from WPL... but we never know.
