You are saying that we are saved by grace - a free gift - and not by obeying the law.
Then you say that the law which Jesus fulfilled condemns us, and our salvation is dependent on us repenting and "coming to him" - in other words salvation is not a free gift.
I don't suppose you see the contradiction in what you have posted.

An often quoted passage - unfortunately often by people who make foolish statements.

I suspect that the historical evidence that you refer to is very limited - otherwise you will understand the plight of millions of Christians who are not as fortunate as most of us living in secure resource rich countries.
