Muslim is an anti-Erdogan & anti-Islamist activist. He also spent years in Assad's prisons and he lost a son who was fighting against ISIS at the time. He has never taken up arms but is guilty of being a poor public speaker IMHO. His sole focus is Syria and the federalised governance project.
Muslim has for a long time been seeking a negotiated settlement for Syria that does not include so call Balkanization. Salih Muslim is likely to now be on the top of Erdogan's assassination list and should, as a result, require extreme level of security protection by the Belgian Government when he arrives in Brussels.
The nature of the trumped up charges against Muslim were ridiculous to anyone who read them.
