Its natural to rejoice when shorts lose (burn!). After all they play a different game from us retail investors and that too on our own play mat. They are like a reverse-value investor, go short when they think price looks high. They may get it wrong once in a while but quite likely most would still be up on their entire portfolio.
What we retails can learn from them is that one does not have to win on each and every stock. Take an over all portfolio view.
