"
I'm not a shy person because i work in the security industry however standing up in front of CEOs and directors would slightly have me thinking very carefully about how i word things."
Fair enough concerns BE. However, I do not get worried (and neither should you) about asking purposeful questions. Frankly, I couldn't give a '
rats' who the person is sitting in the room or the 'box'.
Forensic questions can be asked very calmly, politely and respectfully without diminishing the purpose and integrity of the question.
The old lawyers saying is, "
your job is to cross examine the witness but never to examine crossly"
It always amazes me how people seem to get so very anxious when they enter a board room / court room - no need really but they seem to all the same.
Anyway, I think I might go along this year and see whether they are across the issues or not. Lack of preparation is so easy to discover / highlight. And once their confidence wobbles - their rear end is mine.
Enjoy your long weekend if you are in WA!
