"There's no slagging off in asking that Australians who can afford up front fees be treated at a minimum on equal terms as those from other countries."
Who says they are not treated equally now? And even if they were not treated equally, the combined wealth of rich Aussie AND Overseas parents is the REAL problem as it's that wealth that pushes poor but good local students out of uni cos the Libs have been too stingy to fund education (at all levels) properly and their only interest in uni students is to saddle them with massive HECCS debts and rob student unions of cash cos student unions (like all unions) agitate for a fair go for students and if there is one thing the Liberal Party LOATHES and despises with a white-hot passion it's Aussie Mateship and the Aussie 'Fair Go'.
The Liberals (God bless em) belong to another age, another era, and to many of today's younger Aussie voters it's as hilarously remote from the REAL Australia as burning a Yule log in the fireplace at Christmas as some of the 'better' Adelaide families did until only recently (with an imported English Yule log) all dolled up in suits and ties when it was 102 degrees (on the old scale of course not that dreadful French thing) in the water-bag outside in mid-summer.
