I would say they are managing it quite well at the moment tbh. The whole model is designed around reducing the credit risk, you can only have one afterpay purchase on the go at one time and your credit limit only builds as you complete your repayments on time. Yes you could circumvent those barriers by setting up multiple accounts but then you would need multiple credit/debit cards to go with each one as well as 5 sets of emails/phone numbers and the credit limit on each one would be the basic. So although if let's say you had 5 accounts with 100 each and you completely default on all of them you've only made off with 500 from Afterpays point of view, you could only have bought something for up to 100 from each account so in the grand scheme of things it's a lot of pissing around for not much payoff.
