I know that recent discussion here has seemed very relevant to some, to me it has mostly been re-hashed speculative tripe from the more impatient amongst us. Am surprised that the fact that steel in the U.S. is about to get more expensive due to Trump raising import tariffs has not rated a mention (as far as I can tell). We are 16 months away from completing research into "ultra-high strength carbon nanotube enriched concrete requiring little or even no reinforcing steel.", if the results of this research are positive the timing should correlate well to the time when architects are trying to reduce the amount of steel in their construction projects due to its prohibitive costs. All IMO.
