The Cathode being utilised is a Bio-Mineralised Lithium Manganese Phosphate (LiMnPO4) often shortened to BMLMP.
The chemistry requires neither cobalt nor Nickel in its Chemistry. Shailesh's first paper on LiMnPO4 was published in 2010 and Co-authored by Professor M Stanley Whittingham, Nobel Chemistry Prize nominee with credit as co-inventor of Lithium-ion batteries while working for Exxon in the 70's. Professor Whittingham is also on the Board of MNS and IM3.
BMLMP patent granted to Shailesh Upreti in 2014 and now patent protected in 35 countries. Shailesh is founder of C4V and President of IM3
The anode is also a silicon/tin and graphite blend. Very similar time frames regarding patents being granted.
