Why share the resource when Senegal can just drill horizontally into The Gambia first and steal theirs like Kuwait used to into Iraq before the first Gulf war.
Then they can sit down with the Americans to workout a compensation deal to which Gambia can thumb its nose at then Senegal can attack them then the big boys can come to the rescue destroy Senegal and big oil can get everything for free, easy.
