BB was fully aware of the deadline and the fact that it was a public holiday in perth on monday hence I am certain the announcment was released to the ASX by friday at the latest and was more than likely released to them well before then.
AUZ do not control when announcements are released the ASX do hence any failure to meet the deadline as requested by AUZ ie this morning is totally the ASX fault.
This whole debacle has been caused by the ASX approving and releasing announcements then changing their mind and requesting changes. The original issue was binding versus non binding. They allowed the release stating it was binding then decided it could not be claimed as binding. If the use of the term binding breached their rules then why did they allow the original announcment.
I strongly suspect that the ASX received complaints/threats of legal action by one or more entities that triggered this debacle and hence they are doing back flips all over the place.
An FOI request to the ASX would probably reveal the truth.
