Rod is a visionary. He has done an amazing job turning Xero into the business it isn’t today. He realised he doesn’t have the skill set to take it to the next global level and the board thinks Steve Vamos does. The company is in great shape right now and as much I will miss Rod at the helm making the transition now is a mature business decision. As Steve has been around for 18months he has a feel for the company and I don’t see much changing in the short term. But it will be interesting to see if the growth trajectory continues over the next 12months.
