dust, with your external wisdom, perhaps you can tell us all why our own BOM, as qualified as they are, are ignoring relevant factors when it comes to our own weather forecasting. Even what little data they do use coming from the northern Indian Ocean has been long proven to be irrelevant. There are many farmers suffering big losses this year because BOM was advising earlier in the year that a La Nina was forming, when other indicators showed just the opposite. Perhaps you can attach your own moral to that story.
Are you able to offer a logical explanation for such a situation arising, or are we expected to blindly follow as you do. Any ideas at all?
