I would say that,ideally, if they had known about the delay(which obviously they couldn't)they would be starting to stockpile now.I suppose the part you may be missing is the mine is fully operational now, all the problems have been sorted out, which will ensure a steady stream of ore into the future.The costs ,whether now or in three months are still going to have to be spent. They just spent them 3 months early.Over the life of the mine those small costs will be of no consequence. And the pre-production element is essential with every mine.
But as I have stated before, the commisioning starts before the rest of the plant is ready anyway and will require ore.
