Stocks of nickel show a strong annual cyclic pattern. In the past this hasn't affected the price much until the expected peak in stocks in 06/07 didn't eventuate. The current increase in stocks is hopefully a reversion to the previous cyclic pattern and we might expect a downswing in stocks again starting in early 2008. The big question is whether this will affect the nickel price and hence AUZ.
