change the 2017 text to a piece of java script and never worry about it again
the text nto being readable is due to some issue with your script or css making the background transparent on your text. it should be white as it scrolls into view to cover the fixed background image.
thought I would offer some tips since I gain so much insight from your accountant analysis on things here
