Hey @Neil1959 and @Raggertooth,
Good points, thanks for sharing your discussions with BPG to date, and your opinion on how well received these conversations are, especially with this initiative of having the BOD rescind the ‘bonus’ shares awarded at the AGM.
I thought I’d post the following up:
The AGM results in respect to Resolutions 6, 7 and 8 (the bonus shares for the three directors). The results are weighted based on Shareholding.
![]()
The second bit of info is the top 20 shareholders (as at the issuing of the AGM notice - so may not be 100% accurate at the time of the AGM).
![]()
There are c. 550+ Mil that voted in favour for all three resolutions, This volume weighted vote could have come from the top 3 Share Holders alone. Heck, even if Ethel Lau (former BPG sectary) voted alone, it would have been enough!
IMO:
123 (now) “Thumbs Up” here
Vs
3 Top Share Holders (for example)
The sentiment of the masses, in this case, outweighs the decision of the few voting at the AGM.
Therefore - IMO - Perhaps, the best angle to tackle this is request a vote be held again, and the results be based on vote count, not [share] volume weighted.
Cheers
