"So is being rich the same as living a rich lifestyle?"

whether a rich can live a rich lifestyle will of course depend on how and where he/she has invested his/money. A person might have invested 100% of his wealth in a non-income producing asset but it is his choice and it does not detract from the facy that he is "wealthy" but he is not wise in investing his money to give him a rich lifestyle.

You would have noted that in my earlier post I said the wealth I am referring to excludes the family home. The farmers are in a different category because of the cyclical nature of their income-producing assets.

The broad point i am making is that the distribution of wealth can be better. The point I am making also is that in a wealthly society like Australia's, for social stability and cohesion, we need to make sure that the nation's wealth is not in the hands of a disproportionate few.

You may disagree with that, but that is a view I hold dear.
