I am not saying that they do pay down cost of plant, what I meant was this is a test that the mining companies put on themselves to see if they believe plant is viable and profitable.
As to BFS they will likely use av historical prices and imply regarding current market. The banks analyst's will also take into account world markets and expected demand.
