As you are aware with have a 2pp system so generally all votes end up with either Labor or LNP, that being the case while getting the primary vote is good it's the preferences that count. Few seat get won o primary vote alone.

So given that the conservatives preferences most likely flow to LNP, how is it that labor are ahead in the polls? Logic suggests it's not because the conservatives are referencing Labor.

But just a note of caution, the Libs have never, thats NEVER, formed a Government when the primary has been below 40.

And there's a more than even chance they never will
