    perhaps because they don't want to needlessly stress the share price?

    Your status is held, do you actually want them to announce every piece of bad news in via asx? Can you imagine if a company like NAB or CBA annouced on market every piece of bad news they had relating to the company what would happen to their share prices?

    Every single CEO on the ASX would selectively announce information they announce to the ASX provided it didn't breach any disclosure obligations they had.
