$1.3b isn't all that much really. so why not go to the shareholders for it, lowey has that much in his back pocket.

get the major shareholders to the table and hint that you may issue notes (10% interest) or let the company go under.

major holders go out and buy up shares at current levels, bargin.

next thing you know they issue convertable notes which are taken up by majors and sp flys to $3+.

majors sell into announcment which pays for a fair wack of the notes.

company gets back on track and fund managers can breath easy again.

saw some big big orders in the 80's today, 500k+.
