IMO JS need to be investigated. My instinct tells me that he has to be linked to maybe some shorter or private funds because the way he recycling and repeat fabricating facts into different version of his own events with one aim actually want both GSW and BIG to die, which is very unusual for a reporter. You do your course and let the authority to do the investigate, but in both GSW and BIG case..., I believe something is very odd with JS.
