If we are talking due diligence lending rules and adherence too them is far tighter now than pre-gfc as are capital requirements for lending. If it wasn't once again the default rates would show it.

Is it possible that as it becomes more difficult to lend for housing that banks will start handing out more to businesses? And that could then bubble out and cause inflation and higher interest rates?
