As you say this was not a mistake, the question is why it was issued. Is BO a complete idiot and just being allowed to run wild with no oversight by the board? Who checked over the announcement before it went out? The fact that nothing like this ever occurred under CJ is suspicious given CJ was quite willing to pump MUS to the moon outside of ASX announcement system (who can forget CJ's denial at the AGM last year that he ever said "north of US$100 carat").

Either the announcement was gross stupidity of the highest order (in which case BO should be fired along with his father-in-law), or the aim was to achieve exactly the outcome that has occurred. Neither are good for the shareholders.
