Instead of looking at AFR as an enemy, BIG should be looking at it as a tool. He's at a public event, sure to be approached. Be ready. Use the opportunity. Keep stakeholders informed. Toss a bone to those, like you, that have invested in his vision.

I can imagine him hiding because they are likely to get their backside kicked very hard. I can't imagine a shareholder supporting him in hiding. There's no way that his failing to engage enhances shareholder value.
