Australian Federal Police regarding convictions older than 10 years:

Here are the rules regarding a National Crime Check:

The time limit to include old convictions in a police check is 10 years or less, He did his time 26 years ago.
I find it really disturbing the lynch-mob mind set that is going on in this thread.
Australian media have perfected the art of sensationalizing things, making it a lot bigger than it actually is.
Also, do you really think that these "journalists" that find and dig up these old scars are doing because its important?
Answer is no, they get paid to find that bad stuff, they literally have a financial incentive/ conflict of interest.
