Schenario #1
An entity in the top group also had options...
They borrow from ML to take up their options...
They use ADY shares as 'collateral'...
The entity then sells the options on-market and pays ML back...
...because ML have legal ownership of the shares they had to declare a 'significant holding' while holding as collateral.
Schenario #2
An entity in the top group was hedging shares...
ML was the hedge fund they were using...
The entity were caught out by market corrections...
ML took possession of the shares...
...and has since sold down enough to no longer be a 'significant holder'...
Scenario #2 would best explain the decrease in volume held by the top group.
