Yep, that's exactly right. So these patients would have been told that they have 8.5 months to live on average and that since their tumour was too big and too close to adjacent structures, there was no effective therapy for them.
This latest news is amazing- Oncosil has the potential to be a gamechanger as now some patients are able to have surgery with a curative goal due to the tumour shrinkage which would have otherwise been out of the question . This has huge potential!
Remember Sirtex never saved any lives or never cured anybody- it merely delayed an inevitable death- yet it was bought for $1.5bn. So if OSL can actually lead to cure and therefore save lives, as this announcement says, what will it be worth in the future??
