    Greetings to dombat et al.

What management didn't say was why this or any other holder was selling. I thank you for sharing the results of your enquiries with us, but I am obliged to inform you that you have been fed with spin. There can be no question that a lot of holders have sold down.

The real reason, AFAIK, was an announcement shortly before the Commonwealth election by soon-to-be as-any-fool-could-tell-you Prime Minister Rudd that the ALP government would tighten Public Service spending.

Several of UXC's info-tech business units have done well in 2006-7 from Commonwealth contracts. While established contracts will continue to return solid revenue to the UXC coffers, it may be the future will be less forthcoming with as many new contracts at the same dizzy rate, at least until the various Sir Humphreys have their new ministers properly house-trained.

Disclaimer: I am employed by a business unit of UXC, and while I have every confidence in the health of my little unit, I have no information whatever as to the unit's management's thinking, nor to the wider UXC picture.
I hold about 15 different stocks, in which my UXC holding is the largest.

At current prices (less than $2.00), I have a sentiment of 'buy'. That being said, UXC continues to be a surprisingly volitile stock - enjoy the ride.
