Stom, I can understand your reluctance to get involved in discussing the Hearsay Rules as they can be confusing. They are difficult and you need to know what you are talking about. But I am disappointed to hear that you will not tell us more about them. Re the Military Commissions: Have you any idea what "these different set of checks and balances and legal rights" ,which you mention, are? I'd like to know. Just on that issue of hearsay I think the general drift in both the US and Oz is that exceptions to the Hearsay Rules will be more readily found where the criminality involved is of a minor nature such as where hoons perform burnouts etc not where serious criminal acts are involved such as terrorist acts etc. Cheers
