    Since TV2U decided to negotiate its own media content, I would suggest they start seriously looking at iQiyi in China and negotiating a distribution deal with them. This is something TV2U's management may wish to consider. Now is the time to do it.

    To my knowledge, other than satellite access to Chinese content, no other entity is today addressing the media streaming needs of the Chinese communities outside China (happy to be corrected on that one). That applies to Australia as well. Netflix offers some Chinese content but it is very limited.

    iQiyi (https://www.iqiyi.com/) is the largest Internet video streaming service in China (also referred to as the Chinese Netflix) and, at this stage,  it is only operating within China (over 60 million subscribers). That will most likely change soon. Either iQiyi will do it on their own, by negotiating with major media distribution companies outside China, or by finding one or more partner to do it with in each target market. Their 1st target market outside China will probably be the US (they will soon be listed on the NASDAQ). Asian countries are likely to follow.

    Considering that TV2U will be looking for media content for Indonesia, they will need to find contents that suit that market (Vonetize does not have that content).  Indonesia being a specific linguistic market, the choices are limited.  

    As I mentioned in an earlier post, Smartfren has a deal with Genflix (http://genflix.co.id/), also labelled the Indonesian Netflix, and they will be unavoidable as content providers if TV2U is to be successful in launching in Indonesia. Genflix have the Indonesian content for live and VOD streaming. They are already competitors to TV2U in Indonesia but they could be partners if a deal is properly negotiated.     Regardless of whether a deal with Genflix is negotiated or not (they have their own market ambitions and plans, why introduce another layer to their distribution platform, etc.), iQiyi would be a major asset for TV2U in the Indonesian market. Indonesia has over 8.8 million ethnic Chinese that would be happy to access the latest Chinese movies and TV series available on iQiyi. If TV2U can secure a sizeable market share of the Chinese customer base in Indonesia, it will be in a stronger negotiating position to acquire other local content (e.g. from Film Indonesia (http://filmindonesia.or.id/) or Nonton Movie Streaming (http://nonton-streaming.com/) ).

    A deal with iQiyi would not be limited to Indonesia. It would also give TV2U a commercial advantage should it decide to deploy in Thailand or the Philippines. There are 9.4 million ethnic Chinese living in Thailand and 7 million in Malaysia. This represents a sizeable market share if their specific media needs can be satisfied.

    Not sure that fits TV2U's strategy in those markets, but it's definitely food for thought.
