Hi Cam,
At the conclusion of the 13th National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China on 21 March 2018, it was announced that the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) will merge with other administrative bodies to form a national market supervision administration. The official Chinese name of the new organisation is 国家市场监督管理总局 An official English name for the new organisation has not yet been formally announced but the Xinhua News Agency has referred to it as the “State Market Regulatory Administration”
The new organisation is integrated with the following government authorities:-
China food and drug administration
2. State administration for industry & commerce of people’s republic China
3. General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China
4. State administration of price supervision and inspection of the national development and Reform Commission and the antitrustlaw enforcement
5. Ministry of commerce of people’s republic of China
It is more like an integration of the multiple govt. authorites and streamline the public communications.
Just like MyGov.gov.au integrated Medicare, Centrelink, ATO, etc etc
Will this new organisation in China have an impact on the infant fomula registration process/application submitted by Bellamy’s?
