8 years ago, was the absolute top of the mining boom market. Pretty much every company has come off those frothy peaks. Even BHP is down 20% from those days. Complaining about management impropriety due to share prices falling in a 7 year bear market just tells me that you have absolutely no understanding of what you're doing. Am I thinking of my selfish self because of my petty windfall of doubling my money and retaining exposure to the asset? You're damned right I am. I didn't buy speculative stocks at historically high commodity prices thinking it was the new status quo. I waited until commodity prices bottomed out in early 2016 before even looking.

Has AVB management done a good job by building a profitable mine with no debt in a capital constrained market with falling commodity prices? Yes, and that's why I invested in a clearly high quality management team. So yup, pretty happy with my petty windfall thank you very much.
