Not sure why you find these enrolment figures worthy of remark.
An extra 44 enrolments in the context of the millions of people suffering from degenerative disc disease in the US (see @stockrock's subsequent post this morning) is statistically irrelevant.
One really wouldn't have been surprised to see enrolments in the thousands, if the circumstances warranted it.
