It's very sobering reading back through this threads. If someone was to write a university paper of the madness of crowds then this thread is a microcosm and great material.

There is a book called extraordinary popular delusions and the madness of the crowd which i will losely quote......people think it herds, they go mad in herds, but only recover their senses one by one.
