It is the low hanging fruit and most of know the people on the margins will be hurt the most,there are other things that should be tackled well before this especially the black economy and that is illegal and should be tackled now ,claiming franking credits is legal and not a rort as some on HC think.
SMSFs in pension mode cannot claim losses now but at least can claim their franking credits and this will be challenged because it is not fair that some people will be able to claim credits and wont. I will double down if this is introduced and like most people will look overseas , trusts and getting kids into the SMSF ,down the track the billions Shorten and Bowen claim are there will dissipate and be paid out else where but it is a good story for the gullible who have never invested in there future to feel cosy that the rich are getting there comeuppance.
