Looks like you know how to invest very successfully.

The only caution is that in a downturn most specs will get hammered (perhaps not gold and oil so much), especially base metals.

I am only invested in mining and oil/gas sector, and my only current income generating investment is BHP (WSA is ramping up production and CVN (and maybe OEL) now cash flow positive). I have mostly explorers and some in the different stages of developing their mines (eg MDL, DON).

I have found that if I do very careful research before buying shares I make good judgements. Hence I have learned to trust my own judgement. On the other hand if I just invest on a whim or simply on the advice of my broker then I often make a loss.

I assume you have sound judgement, and you ought to trust it, but be prepared for losses.
