Technical Analysis uses technical indicators to determine the direction of an asset’s momentum and whether that direction will continue, like the on-balance volume indicator, the accumulation/distribution line, the average directional index, the Aroon indicator, the moving average convergence/divergence, the relative strength, the stochastic oscillator and other instruments of senseless hokum. All these attributes are measured only on the said analysed instrument and in total isolation to the general investment environment; the Price is what it is because the Price is what it is. I am trying to predict a Share or Commodity future price based on the relationships with other external financial instruments.
