    Yes that is long term issue. Also worth remembering that time the market for EV/Batteries will be much higher. Once a battery tech is proven out of the lab. Substitution will still take time as battery producers won't all shift to the new technology at the same time. Its not simple to switch from NMC batteries to Nickel-sulfur - it would require changes to their factories. Nissan which are one of an the early movers in electric cars and spending $1B on solid state batteries with Renault & Mitsubishi are not particularly optimistic on game changers in the short-medium term

    Speed to production is important and I'm sure battery producers & larger mining companies share the same view if they are looking at ARL.

    Worth noting that even in the space of cost increases of all inputs for batteries, the costs still dropped due to economies of scale.
