There have been predictions that the world will reach 50 billion IOT devices by 2020, creating roughly 200 million terrabytes per month. Sources are saying that a typical home in the future could contain up to 500 IOT friendly devices.
However, a major concern about these predictions is not the amount of devices available but rather the capacity to transport this data.
