It is really like bashing your head against a wall.
What Cairns got called is not relevant. not too hard to understand is it?
A staement "I am going to run through you b@stards" is not the same as a racial insult. It was not even an insult.
Maybe he should have said in a nice pommy accent..."I am going to run through you blighters"
Poms took offence at the advertising campaign "where the bloody hell are you" only to be told to lighten up.
It is Aussie speak and not intended to be offensive and if you think offence was taken then you have swallowed Indias catch cries hook line and sinker. I guess that is why the play the card...there is some that will fall for it.
Now get this for the umpteenth time...
What any other player at any other time did or didn't do makes no difference...the agreement was that any racial vilification would be reported. That was the agreement. Specifically the 'monkey' calling was not on. This was agreed by both captains supposedly.
So if Harbhajar called Symonds a monkey and he has been found guilty of doing it, it doesn't matter what any other cricketer has said any other time...he is GUILTY and the Indians are bringing the game into disrepute and should be banned from international cricket. They should also be massively fined for comments about Bucknor.
