Gillard was not trusted and made lots of mistakes. Shorten is not trusted and makes mistakes. Its irrelevant to me what gender one is, if you are no good at your job, people work it out. Labor seems to breed more union types without having the skill set to operate at the level required today. It is no surprise they often fail at policy and economic management. Even with Turnbull's current lack of support, he is still regarded as a better manager.
