My further thoughts on why AJM is an attractive target :-
- strong feasibility metrics
- located in Safe Country
- closer to China (compared to South America)
- experienced management
- producing 2Q18
- DFS to increase production to 440k tpa ready this month
- strong Lithium industry dynamics
We have all the ticks for a world class project. No wonder we are getting the attention. Corporate strategy is simple - better to acquire project now (secure supply) or risk paying more later. Current weak AUD is also a boost for foreign parties.
Citigroup appointment is a massive step forward - it likely to indicate that there are serious bidders for AJM.
IMO, I expect AJM will receive a strong bid to win its hand.
