The Newspaper editor obviously saw some merit in publishing that article.
The fact of the matter is that this cricket team of ours has lost a lot of respect not only outside of Aust but within our country as well.
Just look at some of the surveys and you will know that the country is basically split.
The rules of cricket only call for testing one;s skills in batting bowling and fielding. There is nothing in the rules that call for sledging.
Our chaps were the pioneers of it. And the whole world has lost respect for us.
We certainly don't go calling people F*&(ing this and Fing that at home or in our work place do we? Neither do the foreign players who have got more than a 200 year culture. So by us treating them with this sort of vile language only is detriment to our culture.
