With regard to Trumps looming trade war and the effect it may have on markets in general, I'm not overly worried. Why? because he has just made one (additional) heck of a strategic error. In trying to save a few US jobs in the steel and aluminium sectors he has, in his infinite stupidity, decided to put export tariffs into China on soybeans, pork and other agricultural produce, which will screw the American farming community - a large part of his voter base. Go figure. At some point he (Trump) is going to get a tap on the shoulder from some of his gun totting, rural constituents asking him to reconsider. Watch him backflip, as will the DOW.
If that doesn't get him, the Mid-Term election will.
