Trump and China will trade threats of tarriff war.
Then China will concede defeat and sign a deal with Trump, because Trump is a deal maker.
Sounds a lot like trade war to me.
The question is: why would China do that? If they give ground to Trump, EU and other countries will want similar deal.
Any deal Trump might get for US exports will mean EU or some other country is being kicked out.
For example: Trump signs deal for US car industry to have favorable access to Chinese market = EU, Japan, S Korea vehicles will be less affordable then US. Thus their exports are hurt....
Some sort of amicable deal is not possible.
Someone has to lose out in any sort of deal making and it's US vs the world atm. China won't want to turn that around by making it the world vs China by signing some sort of deal with Trump....
